Robin Preucil (Soehlman)
2008

Robin Preucil is currently an avid Fitness and Health instructor in Orlando, Florida. Robin has been dancing her whole life, but became more serious about the art once she started at Sharper Image. Robin trained in all aspects, from ballet to hip hop, but absolutely loved and thrived in lyrical. Upon graduation of high school, Robin continued to train under Mrs. Alyssa and became a Teacher Assistant and taught Dance Aerobics Fitness Classes.

Robin moved to Orlando in 2011 to continue to her dance and fitness career. Since then, Robin has taught over 1,000 fitness classes specializing in a ballet barre/Pilates workout. Robin’s biggest accomplishment so far has been teaching barre  and Zumba in Cancun, Mexico!

Sharper Image has encouraged and taught me that dance isn’t defined by physical appearance or capabilities, or age or timelines,  but by passion and determination. I’m forever grateful for Mrs.Alyssa for believing in my passion and for showing me how to teach others.  I would not be where I am today in my career if it wasn’t for Mrs. Alyssa and Sharper Image believing in me. I’m forever grateful to be apart of the Sharper Image family.

My name is Caitlin and I started dancing alongside Alyssa when I was 11.  Sharper Image Dance studio instilled the confidence in me that I needed to pursue my career of nursing. Hard work and perseverance will always pay off in the long run, in dance and the real world. Happy dancing!

2011

My name is Nikki Soto and I am a former student of Sharper Image. I will be graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology and a minor in Psychology. By next year, hopefully I will continue to pursue my dream of applying to vet school. Dancing at Sharper Image was always my pride and joy. Even though dancing has always been a great stress reliever for me, nothing made me happier than seeing my friends every week. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about Mrs. Alyssa and my dance family at Sharper Image. Sharper Image will always be my second home.

Alexis Roos
2014

Alexis graduated out of Sharper Image Dance in 2014 and moved to Orlando where she attended Full Sail University and received her Bachelors of Science in Recording Arts in March 2016. As a student, Alexis was a part of the Daily Tour and BTS Tour teams, interned at two local recording studios, and received her first film credit as an Effects Editor on the film 'MMXII'. After graduation, Alexis joined the Full Sail University Ambassador Team on the 2016 run of Vans Warped Tour where she traveled to 40 out of 50 states in less than two months. Shortly after returning home, Alexis was hired as an AV Technician at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa and was quickly promoted to Front of House Audio Engineer which she currently maintains. Since starting, she has worked with over 200 bands and talent from across the country and assisted in many National Level events. In 2017, Alexis was selected to join the Seminole Hard Rock Girls program as a brand ambassador. The program's focus is to extend the reach of Hard Rock on a humanitarian level. Hard Rock is very focused on giving back to the Tampa Bay community and they allow the ambassadors to attend different events and give back directly. Alexis has been a part of both the Gasparilla and St Pete Pride parades as well as volunteered with charities including Best Buddies, Making Strides, Humane Society, Joy of Giving, Metro Ministries, and many more. While her schedule seems packed enough, Alexis is still finding time to grow as an engineer and create her own business which she plans to launch a site for in 2020. Through everything, Alexis' roots in dance have always carried with her. If it wasn't for the amazing family and support system provided through the studio she probably wouldn't be the strong, confident, disciplined and independent woman she is today. From Mrs Alyssa, to Mrs Diana and Mr Mark, to all the wonderful dancers at the studio, everyone was an important part of the positive effect dance has had. At the time, she never could’ve guessed that these are memories and lessons that will last a lifetime.

Growing up, dance for me was my safe space. I spent my last few years of dancing at Sharper Image and was given the opportunity to assist in many other classes. Sharper Image taught me teamwork, confidence and passion.  After I graduated high school, I moved to Gainesville, Florida to start college at Santa Fe. I received my Associate of Arts degree in Nursing while working as a certified nursing assistant at a nursing home. I’m currently working at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville as an Operating Room Technician. I graduated the Nursing, RN program at Santa Fe College in April of 2020 and will be transitioning to become an Operating Room Registered Nurse. Mrs. Alyssa has taught me so much over the years and I am thankful for her wisdom, kind heart and dedication to her students.

Chandler Carney
2018

My name is Chandler Carney I’ve been enrolled at USF since I graduated high school. I am currently applying to nursing programs and hoping to get my registered nursing license and later return to USF for my Bachelors in Nursing. While attending USF I was a care taker and worked in sales for a family owned company called All About Puppies. Working with puppies has given me so much joy as I’ve always loved being around dogs. Sharper Image has inspired and encouraged me in many ways. Not only did sharper image create a fun learning community for me throughout high school but it also taught me a lot about responsibility and organization. Teaching at Sharper Image was a great experience and gave me the opportunity to be creative, inspiring, and a role model to others. I am grateful to have had such an influential teacher. Mrs. Alyssa is not only a great dance teacher but also encourages her students to be respectful and well rounded. Dance will always be apart of my life and I will forever cherish the memories.

I couldn’t think of a better place to grow up than Sharper Image.  I found not just the passion and love for dance, but I found a family.  I couldn’t be the person I am today without Miss Alyssa, Miss Diana, Mr. B, and Mr. Mark.  Now I am on a mission to pursue my dream and further my education as I get my Bachelors and Masters in Early Childhood Education.  Thank you all for always being my family and helping me achieve all of my hopes and dreams.

Sarah Marchigiano
2018

My name is Sarah Marchigiano and I was a member of the Sharper Image Competition Team Class of 2018. I am currently completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida on a pre-medical track. During my journey at UF, I have been elected to serve on the executive board of two campus organizations and am completing an internship at Shand’s Hospital. When not studying, I always try to squeeze in a ballet or center barre class in my spare time! Needless to say, my time at Sharper Image shaped me into the disciplined, detail-oriented person I am today. The encouraging, positive atmosphere Mrs. Alyssa promotes at her studio made me feel as if I were a member of a large family. She spreads so much light everywhere she goes and leaves every situation and person better than when she found it. I know Mrs. Alyssa’s kindness and wisdom have made me want to become a better version of myself in the many years I’ve known her. I recommend this studio for anyone not only looking to improve their skills and technique as a dancer, but to be exposed to a wonderful group of individuals!

When I think of Sharper Image, I think about all the girls, all the performances, and all the memories I have made here. Not only has Mrs. Alyssa, Mrs. Diana,Mr. Mark, Mrs. Beth, and Mrs. Ashley been great role models for me but they are apart of my family, along with everyone on the competition team and at the studio. I have been dancing for 17 years and I have danced 13 of them with Mrs. Alyssa. Not only have I found a passion for dance, but it has opened so many opportunities for me and I am so grateful! Being able to perform with all the girls and guys onstage is something I will always cherish! After High School, I plan on attending College of Central Florida, I also plan on studying marketing. Thank you Sharper Image for all the wonderful memories!
